Swami is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI since 1983. After a brief stint of working in India and abroad for seven years, Swami has been a practitioner in the BFSI sector in India. He has a large client base in direct taxes (especially in the area of international taxation and transfer pricing) and is an expert in the insurance domain and is well known for his deep insight and practical knowledge of the subject. His book 'Essential Insurance Guide for Small and Medium Enterprises', for the first time provided simple solutions to otherwise complex risk management problems. His columns in front line Indian newspapers and magazines always dealt with practical issues in the area of taxation and insurance. Besides benefitting lakhs of readers his publications have also been used by the authorities in bringing about policy changes.
